So, here we are, in the throes of the final days for our sweet little “home”

We are already dreaming of our next spot to have all of you join us and enjoy what we do, so stay tuned.

Spring is being stubborn for the Chef…anxiously awaiting morels, ramps, fiddleheads, softshells…

Strawberries from Harry’s Berries hold us over just right. As do the beautiful Fraises des Bois from Malaga.

And we will showcase the Ajo Blanco the last week of May for all of you salivating for that wonderful and magical spoonful of original gazpacho.

Not much to report on the search for a new spot. Busy enough just enjoying the company of all of the guests that are coming to wish us a fond farewell, raise a glass with us, enjoy the essence of the Simone.

I would love to know what everyone is finding in the wine world that makes them sigh with joy. For me, I am waiting on the first of the Roses to present, still love love a good glass of Pernand Vergelesses Blanc, Hervias 2011 Rioja, St. Joseph Blanc, Jura/Savoie/Swiss, yes please! Champagne all of the time, anytime! Truly, still so much to enjoy in our stressful days, so much adventure ahead.

Beautiful White Asparagus from Provence…paired with a crazy Manicor moscato giallo 2012, so good, especially with the Dijon mustard in the egg cream! Also amazing with Sweet Piquillo Veloute with Anisette Creme Fraiche and almonds…and our Caesar…and?
